Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Monday, May 10, 2021 special meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 4:00 p.m. in the Village of Lombard Community Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois 60148. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Fire Chief, Rick Sander Deputy Fire Chief, Ray Kickert Deputy Chief of Police, Joe Grage Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Blankenship C. Approval of Minutes D. Public Participation E. Payment of Bills F. Chairperson's Report G. Vice Chairperson's Report H. Secretary's Report Village of Lombard Page 1 Board of Fire and Police Minutes - Final May 10, 2021 Commissioners I. Correspondence The Board received a copy of a memorandum from Village Manager, Scott Niehaus regarding the authorization to hire three firefighter/paramedics. It was moved by Secretary, Kyle Dolan, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to authorize the hiring of three firefighter/paramedic candidates. Motion carried. J. Unfinished Business K. New Business L. Other Business M. Executive Session It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to adjourn to executive session at 4:04 p.m. Motion carried. Reconvene The meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners reconvened at 4:10 p.m. Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Fire Chief, Rick Sander Deputy Fire Chief, Ray Kickert Deputy Chief of Police, Joe Grage Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Blankenship It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to extend a final offer of employment to police candidate, John Malatia. Motion carried. It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to extend conditional offers of employment to firefighter/paramedic candidates Michal Furtak and Brandon Gatto. Motion carried. O.
