Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Thursday, March 10, 2022 Special Meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 8:00 a.m. in the Village of Lombard Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois 60148. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Police Chief, Roy Newton Fire Chief, Rick Sander Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Blankenship C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Secretary, Kyle Dolan, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to approve the minutes from the regular meeting on December 17, 2021. Motion carried. D. Public Participation Village of Lombard Page 1 Board of Fire and Police Minutes - Final March 10, 2022 Commissioners E. Payment of Bills The Board received Invoice#SA000049231 from Stanard & Associates in the amount of $900.00 for 2 personality evaluations for police candidates; Invoice#4763 from Conrad Polygraph in the amount of $160.00 for a polygraph for a firefighter candidate; an invoice from Rock Publishing in the amount of $42.75 for publishing cost for amendment for the Board's Rules and Regulations; Invoice#42560 from The Blue Line in the amount of $496.00 for advertisement seeking police officers; Invoice#222916 from Klein, Thorpe and Jenkins in the amount of $440.00 for attorney to attend Board of Fire and Police meeting; and Invoice#223345 from Klein, Thorpe and Jenkins in the amount of $2,508.00 for attorney fees for amending the Board of Fire and Police Rules and Regulations. It was moved by Secretary, Kyle Dolan, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to approve payment of all bills. Motion carried. F. Chairperson's Report G. Vice Chairperson's Report H. Secretary's Report I. Correspondence The Board received a copy of a written reprimand in regard to a Police Sergeant; a memorandum from Village Manager, Scott Neihaus regarding the authorization to proceed with the hiring of 1 firefighter; a copy of a memorandum from Police Sgt. John Cozzi regarding his notice to retire; a copy of a email from Police Officer Matt Bendicsen regarding his notice to retire; and a memorandum from Village Manager, Scott Niehaus regarding the authorization to proceed with promoting 1 Police Sergeant. J. Unfinished Business K. New Business It was moved by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey, seconded by Secretary, Kyle Dolan to approve the 2022 Final Lateral Police Officer Eligibility List and the 2022 Initial Police Officer Eligibility List.
