Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Thursday, October 27, 2022 meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 8:00 a.m. in the Village of Lombard Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois 60148. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Fire Chief, Rick Sander Deputy Chief of Police, Tom Wirsing Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Blankenship C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary, Kyle Dolan to approve the minutes from the regular meeting on September 23, 2022 and the special meeting on October 12, 2022. Motion carried. D. Public Participation E. Payment of Bills The Board received Invoice# 5201 in the amount of $180.00 from Conrad Polygraph and Invoice#5232 in the amount of $27.50 from Conrad Polygraph for police officer candidate polygraphs; Invoice#SA000051959 in the amount of $1,350.00 for 3 personality evaluations for firefighter and police officer candidates. It was moved by Secretary, Kyle Dolan, seconded by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski to approve payment of all bills. Motion carried. F. Chairperson's Report G. Correspondence The Board received a copy of a Life Saving Award Memorandum addressed to Village Manager, Scott Niehaus from Police Chief, Roy Newton regarding Police Officer, Eric Gouty and his heroic life saving effort regarding a cardiac arrest victim. J. Unfinished Business K. New Business Chief Sander spoke to the Board regarding the need for a new firefighter/paramedic eligibility list, as the current list is now exhausted. Chief Sander will do research regarding if the new testing process will be online or in person and apprise the Board. Also, when the dates will be for the testing process. L. Other Business M. Executive Session It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary, Kyle Dolan to adjourn to executive session at 8:08 a.m. Motion carried. Reconvene The meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners reconvened at 8:14 a.m. Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Fire Chief, Rick Sander Deputy Chief of Police, Tom Wirsing Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Blankenship It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary, Kyle Dolan to send a denial letter of employment to police officer candidates, Sadiya, Fatima, Owen Fedor, Armando Leon, Victoria Lantz, Nicholas Vandenberg, Thomas Houlihan, Kevin Guzman and Jeffrey Laabs. Motion carried. O.
