Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Thursday, December 28, 2023 meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 8:00 a.m. in the Village of Lombard Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois 60148. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Guests: Police Chief, Tom Wirsing Fire Deputy Chief, George Hyland Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Blankenship C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey, seconded by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski to approve the minutes from the regular meeting on November 20, 2023, special meeting on December 1, 2023 and special meeting on December 8, 2023. Motion carried. D. Public Participation E. Payment of Bills The Board received Invoice #SA000056403 from Stanard & Associates in the amount of $$15,245.26 for 2023 Police Sergeant and Lieutenant Promotional Testing Process; Invoice #108672 from COPS and FIRE Personnel Testing in the amount of $450.00 for a police candidate psychological; Invoice # 5844 from Conrad Polygraph in the amount of $29.50 for a shared polygraph for a police officer candidate; Invoice #8422 from Conrad Polygraph in the amount of $200.00 for a police officer candidate polygraph; and Invoice #AMY2023.73 from Testing for Public Safety in the amount of $12,640.16 for fire lieutenant promotion process. It was moved by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey, seconded by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski to approve payment of all bills. Motion carried. Correspondence The Board received a copy of a retirement letter from Police Sgt. Al Breytspraak; copy of a memorandum from Village Manager, Scott Niehaus addressed to Director of Human Resources, Kathleen Dunne regarding his recommendation and approval to waive the 90-day notice of retirement for Police Sgt. Al Breytspraak. J. Unfinished Business It was moved by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey, seconded by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski to approve the final Police Sergeant and Lieutenant Promotional Lists. Motion carried. It was moved by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey, seconded by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski to approve the final offer of employment for firefighter/paramedic candidate, Noah Plunge.
