5.0 New Business
Lisa Biegalski asked the Committee what they thought of having
elementary-aged students volunteer at the Senior Fair. The
Committee agreed, while a sincere and thoughtful gesture by the
inquiring classroom, it would be too chaotic for the Senior Fair to have
a group of 20+ young children at the fair. Lisa said she would let the
teacher know and thanked everyone for their input.

Request to discuss the 2013 Senior Fair.
The Committee took a look at the bags that were ordered for Senior
Fair and expressed that they were pleased with what the Village
ordered. Bridget Doyle passed around a list of returning Senior Fair
vendors and highlighted those that had not responded to initial
correspondence. The group also agreed to allow BrightStar Lifecare
into the Senior Fair this year to replace groups that were unable to be
contacted. The group also decided to distribute flyers around Lombard
three weeks before Senior Fair. The flyers will be brought to the next
Community Relations meeting by Bridget Doyle to be distributed by
the group. Bridget also said she would have a solid list of Senior Fair
participants by the Sept. 9 meeting for the group to see. A sign-up
sheet was passed around and committee members signed up for
timeslots to volunteer. The group also welcomed the idea of 7-11
donating fruit to the event so money that would have been spent on
fruit can now be spent on other food.
