Village Hall Village of Lombard 255 East Wilson Ave. Lombard, IL 60148 villageoflombard.org Minutes Community Relations Committee Trustee Robyn Pike - Chairperson Trustee Bill Ware - Alternate Chairperson, Pamela Bedard, Ahmed Ali, Michael Ledonne, Sharon Vish, Barb Ware, Gladys Piper & Anthony Pacilli Staff Liaison - Avis Meade Monday, October 12, 2015 7:00 PM Trustees Conference Room 1.0 Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The meeting was called to order by Robyn Pike at 7:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Ahmed Ali. 2.0 Roll Call Present 4 - Robyn Pike, Ahmed Ali, Gladys Piper, and Anthony Pacilli Absent 4 - Pamela Bedard, Sharon Vish, Barbara Ware, and Michael Ledonne Also present: Communications Coordinator Avis Meade 3.0 Public Participation None. 4.0 Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Ahmed Ali, seconded by Gladys Piper to approve the minutes of the Sept. 14, 2015, meeting. The motion passed by unanimous vote. 5.0 Old Business 130274 Youth Leadership Program Update on a meeting with counselors from Glenbard East. Avis Meade is currently trying to contact the Principal and teachers at Glenbard East in ongoing efforts to develop an in-class version of the program. Village of Lombard Page 1 Community Relations Committee Minutes October 12, 2015 150177 2015 Senior Fair Follow-up discussion of the 2015 Senior Fair Senior Fair Suggestions for 2016, include the following: - Accurate counting of attendees - DMV Secretary of State confirmed early - Find out what the Social Security Office would bring if a vendor - Possibly arrange for the speech to take place in the courtyard outside depending on the weather - Update on the woman who fell - The new layout allows for more room. We can add more tables next year and alleviate sharing for some. 150372 National Citizen Survey Further discussion on NCS and additional survey options to compare. Further discussion on NCS and additional survey options to compare prices and survey result options. 6.0 New Business 7.0 Other Business Public Works Artwork - Mural artwork potential was unanimously supported by the Community Relations Committee. It will be moving along to the Community Promotions and Tourism Committee for funding. The commitee will consider creating a memo to provide information to the Community Promotion and Tourism Committee, at the next meeting. 8.0 Information Only None. 9.0 Adjournment A motion was made by Anthony Pacilli, seconded by Gladys Piper to adjourn the meeting at 7:33 p.m. The motion passed by a unanimous vote.
