Village Hall Village of Lombard 255 East Wilson Ave. Lombard, IL 60148 villageoflombard.org Minutes Community Relations Committee Trustee Robyn Pike - Chairperson Trustee Bill Ware - Alternate Chairperson, Pamela Bedard, Ahmed Ali, Michael Ledonne, Sharon Vish, Barb Ware, Gladys Piper, Anthony Pacilli and Jenelle Hardtke Staff Liaison - Avis Meade Monday, January 9, 2017 7:00 PM Trustee's Conference Room 1.0 Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Robyn Pike at 7:05 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Committee Member Barb Ware. 2.0 Roll Call Present 7 - Robyn Pike, Pamela Bedard, Sharon Vish, Ahmed Ali, Barbara Ware, Michael Ledonne, and Anthony Pacilli Absent 2 - Gladys Piper, and Jenelle Hardtke Also present: Staff Liaison, Avis Meade, Communications Coordinator 3.0 Public Participation None. 4.0 Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Michael Ledonne, seconded by Pam Bedard, to approve the minutes of the September 12, 2016, committee meeting. The motion passed by unanimous vote. 5.0 Old Business 130274 Youth Leadership Program An update regarding the Youth Leadership Program. Village of Lombard Page 1 Community Relations Committee Minutes January 9, 2017 Avis Meade informed the committee that the program will take place this year. At this time there are 6 applicants. Avis is planning to go to Glenbard East on January 19, 2017, to promote the program directly to the students. Avis will create a display and will be accompanied by Police Department and Fire Department personnel. 150372 National Citizens Survey Livability reports will be presented to the committee. An overview of the upcoming Village Board workshop, scheduled for January 19, 2017, will be presented. The committee reviewed the results of the National Research Center (NRC) survey. The committee will present the results to the Village Board of Trustees in a joint meeting on Thursday, February 2, 2017. This will take the place of the February Community Relations Meeting. 6.0 New Business None. 7.0 Other Business The committee had not met since prior to Senior Fair and took time to review the October 2016 Senior Fair. 8.0 Information Only None. 9.0 Adjournment A motion was made by Pam Bedard, seconded by Anthony Pacilli, to adjourn the meeting at 7:34 p.m. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
