The motion passed by unanimous vote. 5.0 Old Business None. Village of Lombard Page 1 Community Relations Committee Minutes February 13, 2017 6.0 New Business 170046 2018 Budget Forecast & Plan Development 2018 Budget Planning Discussion. Finance Director Tim Sexton presented the 2017 budget planning process and reviewed the long term structural budget deficit that the Village faces. 170071 Meals on Wheels Program Assistant Village Manager, Nicole Aranas, will present information to the committee on the current status of the Meals on Wheels program currently supported by the Village of Lombard. Assistant Village Manager Nicole Aranas presented information regarding the Meals on Wheels and reviewed Lombard’s history of contribution to the program. The Community Relations Committee recommended a reduction in contribution to the Meals on Wheels program, in order to be in line with the County average. The recommendation of the Community Relations Committee to decrease funding to $25,000 per year to Meals on Wheels will be presented to the Finance and Administration Committee for consideration when determining the budget. A motion was made by Jenelle Hardtke, seconded by Sharon Vish, to recommend to the Finance and Administration Committee to decrease funding of the Meals on Wheels program to $25,000 per year, when determining the budget for 2018. The motion passed by unanimous vote, with the exception of Anthony Pacilli who abstained. The Youth Leadership Program was held on February 2nd & 9th, and will finish at a Village Board Meeting on February 16, 2017. The program welcomed 13 students from Glenbard East, Montini, and Willowbrook High Schools. Committee members are invited to attend a reception before the Board Meeting where students will accept their certificates of completion. 150372 National Citizens Survey Village of Lombard Page 2 Community Relations Committee Minutes February 13, 2017 The committee will review the results of the joint meeting with the Village Board of Trustees. Robyn pike thanked committee members for attending the joint workshop between the Community Relations Committee and the Village Board, regarding the results of the National Citizen Survey.
