The motion passed by unanimous vote. 5.0 Old Business Village of Lombard Page 1 Community Relations Committee Minutes April 10, 2017 None. 6.0 New Business 170167 Lilac Time Photo Contest The Committee will judge the finalist photos at the June 12, 2017, committee meeting. The Committee will be reviewing and judging the 2017 Lilac Time Photo Contest at their meeting on Monday, May 12. The winners will be announced via social media and the Village Website on Friday, June 16. 170168 Community Relations Committee Members Review the terms of commitment to the Community Relations Committee to ensure ongoing interest in serving on the committee. Chairperson Pike reviewed the terms of commitment to the Community Relations Committee members. Chairperson Pike thanked them for their participation and reminded members of the obligation to attend. Members that are unable to fulfill these requirements are asked to consider their obligation and to notify Chairperson Pike of any desire to step down from the Committee. 170169 New Sign Policy A new message board will be installed at the corner of Wilson and Main. The committee will review and provide input on a potential policy pertaining to the use of the sign. The committee shared suggestions pertaining to a new Electronic Message Board Policy for the new message board that will be installed at the southeast corner of Main St. & Wilson Ave. Suggestions included: Limits of the amount of messages per organization per quarter. Limit the amount of non-Village related messaging at any given time. Setting standards for the visual layout of non-Village messaging. These recommendations will be added to the new policy, which will be reviewed for approval by the Village Board on May 18, 2017.
