The motion passed by unanimous vote. 5.0 Old Business None. Village of Lombard Page 1 Community Relations Committee Minutes June 11, 2018 6.0 New Business 180177 2018 Lilac Time Photo Contest The Lilac Time Photo Contest took place in May, during Lilac Time. Photos are meant to showcase Lombard during its most iconic time of the year. The Committee will review submissions at their June 11th meeting and winners will be announced online on June 15, 2018. The committee voted to select the Lilac Time Photo Contest winners. The 1st place winner was Sabrina Williams for her photo Springtime at Lilacia Park.” The 2nd place winning photograph was “Blooms and a Bench” by Tony Peterman and the 3rd place winner was “Purple Bloom” by Paul Jauregui. The winners will be announced on Social Media on June 15. 180178 Social Media Policy Assistant Village Manager Nicole Aranas will provide a presentation regarding potential adoption of a Village Social Media Policy and guidelines for social media conduct. The committee will be tasked with providing feedback on tenets of the policy prior to review by the Village Board of Trustees. A new social media policy was presented to the Community Relations Committee. A presentation was made. The committee unanimously agreed that a policy should be pursued. Nicole Aranas will draft a policy for the committee to review at the next meeting. 180267 Village Board Policy as it Relates to Outdoor Monuments on Municipal Property Recommendation from the Community Promotion and Tourism Committee to adopt a Village Board policy providing for criteria, procedures and considerations relating to offers to donate monuments for placement upon Village property. A draft policy regarding the placement of monuments on Village property was presented to the committee. Michael Ledonne suggested a revision to the policy providing an appeal of a denied request be brought to the Village Board. The revisions will be made to reflect the request for an appeals process before the policy is forwarded to the Board of Trustees for approval. A motion was made by Michael Ledonne and seconded by Anthony Pacilli to revise the policy by providing an appeal of request denials be brought before Village of Lombard Page 2 Community Relations Committee Minutes June 11, 2018 the Village Board. The motion was passed by a unanimous vote. 7.0 Other Business None. 8.0 Information Only July’s meeting will be cancelled. The next Community Relations Committee Meeting will be August 13th. 9.0 Adjournment A motion was made by Michael Ledonne, seconded by Anthony Pacilli to adjourn the meeting at 7:58 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
