Survey and provide a summary handout. Committee members will have
an opportunity to ask questions and discuss key takeaways.
Staff distributed a handout summarizing key highlights from the
National Community Survey (NCS) and demonstrated how to access
the full report through the Village’s website. In addition, staff shared
examples of the social media campaign promoting the survey findings
to the community.
Chairperson Hammersmith discussed how the results will inform and
support ongoing strategic planning efforts. She encouraged members
to review the data and consider potential initiatives or programs that
could help address areas receiving lower ratings. Members were
invited to share their ideas and suggestions with her for further
discussion.
250209 Senior Fair - 2025 Event update
Staff will provide an update on the planning efforts for the 2025 Senior
Fair, scheduled for Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00
p.m. at the Madison Meadow Athletic Center. The update will include
confirmed vendors, promotional strategies, and next steps.
Staff provided an update on preparations for the 19th Annual Senior
Fair. All vendor booth spaces have been filled, and a list of
participating vendors was shared with the committee. Staff noted that
several organizations are already on a waitlist. An email will be sent to
confirmed vendors with additional event details and a request for them
to notify staff if their participation plans change, which would allow staff
to offer available spots to those on the waitlist.
Marketing efforts for the event are launching this week, including a
press release, flyer, direct mail outreach to senior living facilities in
Lombard and a social media campaign to promote the event.
Committee members were invited to volunteer and assist during the
fair; those interested are encouraged to contact staff directly.
