Board Meeting
Ms. Ganser noted this report is for fiscal year 2014 and reviewed the
report. Land was purchased by the Village using TIF funds at 7 E. St
Charles Rd for Metra parking expansion. The TIF also spent money
on funding for Lombard Town Centre, the Mueller Memorial Gazebo,
and a market study for 101 S. Main Street. Grants were applied for in
2014, but not payable into 2015. Mr. Heniff said that discussions on
101 S. Main Street could continue and any redevelopment would go
back to the TIF. The Hammerschmidt parking expansion will also
incur costs from the Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Mr. Heniff
noted that the vacant lot at Grove & Park is slated for six single family
homes and engineering is underway. No incentives were offered and
staff estimates about $54,000 in TIF dollars.
