The motion carried the following vote: Aye: 6- Anthony Puccio, Garrick Nielsen, Paula Dillon, Laine Vant Hoff, Gregory Ladle, and Alan Bennett Abstain: 2- Dennis McNicholas, and Patrick Kennedy Absent: 1- Matthew Pike 5.0 Unfinished Business 6.0 New Business 220137 Downtown Improvement & Renovation Grant; 390 E. St. Charles Road (Righteous Kitchen) Request approval of a Downtown Improvement & Renovation grant (facade grant) for exterior improvements. Ms. Tolkin said Righteous Kitchen started in 2014 and moved to Eastgate in 2016. They are a catering company and also make ready to heat meals. This new space will allow them to expand. The grants will help them build out the kitchen, add a sign, and ADA accessibility. Ms. Ganser summarized the staff memo. On a motion by Mr. Bennett and a second by Ms. Vant Hoff, the ECDC unanimously voted to approve the Downtown Improvement & Renovation Grant in the amount of $4,218.35. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 8- Anthony Puccio, Dennis McNicholas, Garrick Nielsen, Paula Dillon, Laine Vant Hoff, Gregory Ladle, Alan Bennett, and Patrick Kennedy Absent: 1- Matthew Pike 220138 Downtown Retail Business Grant; 390 E. St. Charles Road (Righteous Kitchen) Request a recommendation of approval to the Village Board for a Downtown Retail Business Grant for interior improvements. Ms. Ganser summarized the staff memo. Mr. McNicholas asked about the lien provision and Ms. Ganser said the approved Resolution is recorded against the property. On a motion by Mr. Bennett and a second by Mr. Ladle, the ECDC unanimously voted to recommend approval to the Village Board for a Downtown Retail Business Grant in the amount of $20,000. This item will be forwarded to the Board of Trustees. He said this information is helpful to understand the current context of the office and retail markets.
