180198 Presentation Of Application For National Register Status By Ratio -
Lilacia Park
Mr. Stoner presented the proposed application in a power point format.
He requested that Commissioners ask questions as he went along.
The time table included the submittal of the final draft to SHPO on
January 14th and the IHSAC presentation scheduled for February 22,
2019. He explained that only Criteria A was being used on the advice
of SHPO. Once that is approved, Criteria C based on Jens Jensen
could be pursued at a later date. Finding a direct link of
correspondence or meeting between Colonel Plum and Jens Jensen
could prove to be time consuming.
Within Criteria A, it was determined that Recreation/Entertainment and
Agricultural were categories that best fit Lilacia Park. Concerns were
expressed by SHPO about meeting the requirements for the
Agricultural category however Mr. Stoner verified that this category
could be dropped if it did not and the application could still move
forward with Recreation/Entertainment only.
Ms. Richardt stated that she has information regarding Colonel Plum
contributing lilacs to a park in Kent, Ohio if Mr. Stoner would be
interested. Mr. Stoner responded that he would like copies of what Ms.
Richardt has to offer.
A. Local Landmarks - Eileen Mueller
Commissioner Mueller reported that finding another Lustron Home and
signs for the Great Western Trail are projects under consideration

Exhibit that opens in June at the Peck Homestead. The First Look for
Donors and LHS Members is May 30.
Find more details of the exhibit/events can be found at the Society's
website. This is a unique exhibit that will include up to a dozen original
Pecks, several never before displayed in public.
