Roll Call Present 7 - Tom Fetters, Brigitte O'Brien, Lyn Myers, Patricia Poskocil, Stephanie Zabela, Jason Sanders, and Lynn O'Donnell Absent 2 - Eileen Mueller, and Bob Wardzala Also present: Ed Seagraves, Ex-Officio and Tami Urish, Planner I, Staff Liaison. Public Hearings Public Participation Business Meeting Approval of Minutes The October 18, 2022 meeting minutes were approved with noted corrections. The motion was made by Commissioner Poskocil and seconded by Commissioner Myers and passed by all aye votes with an individual roll call. Chairperson's Report Chairperson Schneider reported that the Illinois State Historic Preservation Office is preparing an Illinois Statewide Historic Preservation Plan to examine current preservation activities and identify strategies to advance preservation efforts at the local, regional and statewide levels over the next decade. The Statewide Plan will provide goals and objectives to guide planning for Illinois’ historic and cultural resources over the next ten years. A workshop is scheduled for March 21 in the Chicago region. Commissioners discussed the Plan’s project schedule. A. Local Landmarks Committee - Eileen Mueller No Report B. Finance - Jason Sanders Village of Lombard Page 1 Lombard Historic Preservation Minutes January 17, 2023 Commission Weed control at the cemetery and the Cottage museum’s roof is in the 2023 budget. The 2022 budget will be under budget by approximately 20% once outstanding items clear the accounting system. C. Personnel - Pat Poskocil No Report D. Heritage Award - Lyn Myers William J Mueller Heritage Award Commissioner Myers reported that she would like to retool the award classifications and requirements and present them at the next Commission meeting. E. Cemetery - Rita Schneider No Report F. Ex-Officio Report - Ed Seagraves and Alison Castanzo LHS President Ed Seagraves referenced the attached report. Planner's Report No Report New Business 230038 Historic Preservation Commission - 2022 Annual Report Request from the Lombard Historic Preservation Commission that the Village Board acknowledge receipt of the LHPC 2022 Annual Report. Commissioners reviewed the annual report for 2022. A motion was made by Commissioner Fetters, seconded by Commissioner Poskocil, to approve the 2022 annual report as submitted The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 8- Rita Schneider, Tom Fetters, Brigitte O'Brien, Lyn Myers, Patricia Poskocil, Stephanie Zabela, Jason Sanders, and Lynn O'Donnell Absent: 2- Eileen Mueller, and Bob Wardzala Adjournment On a motion by Commissioner Poskocil and seconded by Commissioner Myers and all were in favor, the meeting was adjourned at 8:05 p.m. Village of Lombard Page 2
