Roll Call Present 8 - Rita Schneider, Jack Jones, Patricia Poskocil, Marcy Novak, Tom Fetters, Lyn Myers, Richard Anstee, and Brigitte O'Brien Absent 1 - Eileen Mueller Also present: Tami Urish, Planner I, Staff Liaison Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Richard Anstee, seconded by Jack Jones, to approve the minutes of the meeting on July 16, 2013 with the corrections made to the spelling errors regarding Stephanie Zabela and Jeanne Schultz Angel’s names. The motion passed by a unanimous vote with the above changes. Public Participation There were no members of the public present. New Business 130414 Presentation of the William J. Mueller Lombard Heritage Award Lyn Myers, the chairperson of the special committee, distributed the worksheet utilized by the committee members to evaluate each Village of Lombard Page 1 Lombard Historical Commission Minutes August 29, 2013 submitted nominee based on the same criteria. The result was a clear winner known as Candidate X. Each candidate was assigned a letter so that the evaluations would be fair to all and the name of each candidate will be revealed at the October Village Board Meeting. Lyn made a motion that based on the submitted review and evaluation of the William J. Mueller Lombard Heritage Award Committee presented; I move that the Historical Commission approve Candidate X for the 2013 William J. Mueller Lombard Heritage Award. Tom seconded the motion, all were in favor and the motion passed. (Note: the award will be presented at the October 17, 2013 Village Board Meeting.) Ideas were discussed to improve the process for next year. Other Business There was no other business. Adjournment The next meeting will be held on October 15, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall.
