Eileen Mueller led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call Present 4 - Jack Jones, Marcy Novak, Tom Fetters, and Eileen Mueller Also present: Rita Schneider, Chairperson and Tami Urish, staff liaison. Approval of Minutes The minutes of the February 26, 2015 meeting were approved by Commissioner Novak with no changes. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Jones. All were in favor, the motion passed. Unfinished Business 130270 Chicago, Aurora and Elgin Railroad/ Prairie Path Discussion relative to Commemorative Signage. Commissioner Fetters distributed the materials associated with his research into the railroad usage. Commissioner Fetters reported that Jean Cooper had discovered evidence that there was an additional stop at Lodge Avenue. The Commissioners discussed the options of adding a sign to the project or combining two stops on one sign. It was decided that Chairperson Schneider will request additional Village of Lombard Page 1 Lombard Historical Commission Minutes July 21, 2015 funding for a fifth sign. Staff reported that the Village attorney recommends obtaining expressed written permission for any material including photographs to be used for the signage. The Commissioners discussed the copyright issue. Commissioner Mueller directed staff to send the approved draft letter requesting copyright permission to Mr. Larry Plachno. Acquiring an artist to provide a line drawing of a photograph was discussed in addition to requesting an in-depth search for photographs within the Historical Society’s archives. Staff was directed to request photographs of the Chicago, Aurora and Elgin Railroad from the public through the Village’s communications outlets. New Business No new business to be discussed.
