Commissioner Novak explained that her main objective was to keep the theme of educating the public about the railroad and to remove the details that can be saved on the Village website or by other means. Commissioner Novak stated that the revolutionary aspect of the railroad should be retained on each of the signs. Commissioner Novak suggested that when the signs are complete perhaps the Lombardian could run an article each week on one of the four signs with the original narrative included. Commissioner Schneider suggested a “history” button on the Village’s website may make it easier for the public to find Commission information including the prairie path signs. Commissioner Schneider stated the possibility that the Lombard Historical Commission name is proposed to be changed to the Lombard Preservation Commission. This proposal may not be approved before the signs are produced. The Committee members read aloud and revised each of the signs based on discussion and consensus. Staff was directed to compile the revisions and send copies to the Committee members. New Business No new business was discussed.
