Kaforski: striping on Grace from Madison to Prairie Path. Goldsmith:
will check this and let you know. Discussion took place regarding
concrete work that still needs to be done in town. Kaforski: hole by
Heritage Cadillac on Roosevelt is really large and not marked very
well. Goldsmith: not really in the public road and IDOT does not
require this to be plated.
Bachner: update on Wilson please. Goldsmith: gave the committee
status of project and update on anticipated dates of completion.
Hoping that the road will be open on 9/23. There will still be punch list
items, etc. but this is the plan. Bachner: Westmore and Wilson - turn
lane - traffic signal timing is way off. Goldsmith: will talk with Matthew
Lew tomorrow about this issue. Bachner: do we need to discuss the
bike path issues on Westmore? Goldsmith: will be brought up at a
future meeting. Discussion ensued regarding bike lanes on
Westmore south of Madison.
Kuehl: new lanes on Madison - can't see them going w/b during the
late afternoon due to the sun. On the bike part it is fine - it is the
yellow part. Ware and Goldsmith will drive this tomorrow and check it
out. Goldsmith: important that people follow the rules of the road -
both drivers and bikers. Education is a must. Kuehl: Madison and 53
- tiles they are putting in are drain tiles? Also at Charles Lane?
Goldsmith: yes.
Arnold: discussion regarding Madison bike lanes - friends have been
talking with me about this. When someone is parked in one of those
lanes people are driving over the center line. Goldsmith: it is an
individuals comfort level. Arnold: can the dates of free leaf pickup be
put out to the public in as many forms as possible, over and over
again. Do not want the same issues as last year. Goldsmith: put in
the PRIDE, the Lombardian, on the Village website.
Goldsmith: updated the committee on the progress of the Roosevelt
Road Water Main Lining project. Will bring video to next meeting.
