I. Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance
The regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Lombard held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 in the Board
Room of the Lombard Village Hall was called to order by Village
President Keith Giagnorio at 6:00 pm. Director of Public Works Carl
Goldsmith led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Trustee Brian LaVaque, Chairperson of the Transportation & Safety
Committee reported the following:
The committee met yesterday and reviewed a recommendation from the
Police Department relative to the purchase of a drone. The Public Safety
Committee reviewed the recommendation and unanimously approved
the request. The Police and Fire Departments also provided monthly
reports on activities.

VII. Village Manager/Village Board/Village Clerk Comments
Village Clerk Liz Brezinski read the following announcements:
The Village will host its final Cruise Night event of the season on
Saturday, September 4th from 6:00 pm -10:00 pm featuring the
ever-popular American English Band. Please be advised that due to the
popularity of this event St. Charles Road will be closed between
Elizabeth and Main Street beginning at 3:00 pm. Come out and enjoy
this family-friendly, free event in downtown Lombard.
The Lombard Police Department is joining law enforcement agencies

throughout the state for the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Labor Day
enforcement campaign. During this period, motorists can expect to see
stepped-up impaired driving patrols and seat-belt enforcement,
particularly at night when seat-belt usage rates are at their lowest.
Speeders and distracted drivers should also be aware. If you are
celebrating this Labor Day, remember to designate a sober driver and
do not let friends or family members drive under the influence of alcohol
or cannabis.
Village Offices will be closed on Monday, September 6th in observance
of the Labor Day holiday. Offices will reopen at 8:30am on Tuesday,
September 7th.
The Village is seeking nominations for the 16th Annual Senior of the Year
Awards which recognize an outstanding senior man and a senior woman
who go above and beyond to positively benefit the community.
Nominees must reside in the Village limits and be 65 years of age or
older. All nominations must be received by 4:30 pm on Friday,
September 10th.
Mark your calendars for the We Remember Blood Drive scheduled on
Wednesday, September 8th from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm at the lower level
of Yorktown outside of Von Maur and at the First Church of Lombard
Fellowship Hall, 220 S. Main Street, from 1:30 pm until 7:00 pm. Please
remember it takes only an hour to be a hero and save a life- donating
blood is safe, simple and does save lives. Be a hero - donate blood.
In recognition of the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attack on our
country, the Village will hold a Remembrance Ceremony and Dedication
of the Public Safety Plaza on Saturday, September 11th at 9:00 am at
the Village complex, 255 E. Wilson. This event will be held outdoors.

subject property located within the B4A Roosevelt Road Corridor District.

scrap, or recycled as these items have extended beyond their useful life
or are obsolete to include: one 2016 Police Ford Explorer, serial
#1FM5K8AR5GGC26060, deemed a total loss after being involved in an
accident with reimbursement to the Village by the insurance company.

additional dedication consists of the cul-de-sac bulb portion of Windsor
Avenue, which was depicted but not formally dedicated, as a part of the
original final plat of subdivision approval by the Village. (DISTRICT #4)
