Suggested Action: Approve recommendation. 3. 23-51587 Recommendation to receive supporting documentation into the record, conclude the public hearing, and adopt resolution amending fee and charges for parks and recreation programs and the use of public parks and recreation facilities for Fiscal Year 2024 to include a fee for the El Dorado Nature Center’s Guided School Tour Program. Suggested Action: Approve recommendation. 4. 23-51588 Recommendation to recommend to the City Manager the approval of the MacArthur Park Rehabilitation Project as an improvement for public recreation at MacArthur Park, which meets a recreational need within the city. CLARK COMMUNITY CENTER, BRIDGE ROOM, 9:00 AM Suggested Action: Approve recommendation. 5. 23-51589 Recommendation to authorize the Director of Parks, Recreation and Marine to execute all documents necessary to issue a Use Permit to LARPBO: Los Angeles Responsible Pit Bull Owners, Inc., dba LARPBO Dog Training for the continued provision of on-leash dog training/handling classes at Heartwell Park for a term of two years, from December 1, 2023 to November 30, 2025, with one, two-year renewal option through November 30, 2027, at the discretion of the Director or designee. (District 5) Suggested Action: Approve recommendation. 6. 23-51590 Recommendation to authorize the Director of Parks, Recreation and Marine to execute all documents necessary to enter into an Agreement for Use of Facilities and Services with the Long Beach Unified School District for the facilitation of the District’s Work-Based Learning Community Classroom at the citywide senior program sites for a term of 5 years from February 1, 2024, through January 31, 2029, with one three-year renewal option at the discretion of the Director. (Districts 2,4,6,7,8,9) Suggested Action: Approve recommendation. 7. 23-51591 Recommendation to authorize the Director of Parks, Recreation and Marine to extend Right-of-Entry Permit No. P-00256 and all documents necessary to Spohn Ranch, Inc., a California corporation, for a park amenity improvement at an existing skatepark located at Silverado Park, for a six-month term beginning December 1, 2023 through May 31, 2024. (District 7) Suggested Action: Approve recommendation. 8. 23-51592 Recommendation to receive and file the Director’s monthly highlights report, “We Create Community” and “Director’s Highlights” for December 2023.
