Suggested Action: Approve recommendation. 2. 24-53711 Recommendation to consider approval or denial, of the fee waiver requests outlined in Attachment “A” in accordance with the Fee Waiver policy. Suggested Action: Approve recommendation. 3. 24-53712 Recommendation to authorize the Director of Parks, Recreation and Marine to execute Personal Service Agreements with various contractors to provide free public cultural arts programs at Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine facilities, for a period of two years and one month from September 1, 2024 to September 30, 2026, with two, two-year options to renew through September 30, 2030, at the discretion of the Director. CLARK COMMUNITY CENTER BRIDGE ROOM, 9:00 AM assign Right-of-Entry permit No. P-00243, and any other necessary documents, to Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs, Inc., a Delaware Corporation, on behalf of Sowing Seeds of Change, to operate an urban agriculture site at 620 San Francisco Avenue and to extend the term to September 30, 2027, with an option for one (1) additional, three-year renewal at the discretion of the Director. (District 1) Suggested Action: Approve recommendation. 5. 24-53714 Recommendation to authorize the Director of Parks, Recreation and Marine to approve an annual field improvement to the goal areas of fields 6 and 7 at Heartwell Park and to issue all documents necessary for a Right-of-Entry Permit to the American Youth Soccer Organization, a California nonprofit corporation, for a period of two months from June 1, 2024, through July 31, 2024; with three, one- year renewal options for the same two-month period in 2025, 2026, and 2027, at the discretion of the Director of Parks, Recreation and Marine, or designee. (District 5) Suggested Action: Approve recommendation. 6. 24-53715 Recommendation to receive and file a presentation of the Martin Luther King Jr Park Vision Plan. (District 6) Suggested Action: Approve recommendation. 7. 24-53716 Recommendation to receive and file a presentation of the Scherer Park Vision Plan. (District 8) Suggested Action: Approve recommendation. 8. 24-53717 Authorize the Director of Parks, Recreation and Marine to execute a Right of Entry Permit, and any other necessary documents, with Public Corporation for the Arts of the City of Long Beach, dba Arts Council for Long Beach, a California nonprofit corporation, the production and maintenance of eight murals for a term of one year, from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, with three, three-year renewal options at the discretion of the Director at the Bixby Park Community Center, Recreation Park Community Center, Dr. Thomas J. Clark Community Center at El Dorado Park, Heartwell Park Community Center, McBride Park Gymnasium, Ramona Park Community Center, Davenport Park, and on the 14th Street Basketball Courts. (Citywide) Suggested Action: Approve recommendation. 9. 24-53724 Recommendation to receive and file the Director’s monthly highlights report, “We Create Community” and “Director’s Highlights” for June 2024.
