We the Senior Citizen Advisory Commission of Long Beach California recognize that
we are on traditional and sacred lands of many indigenous groups who call these
grounds home. We thank them for their strength, perseverance, and resistance. In
their spirit may we strive to always honor and respect the wisdom of our elders.
READING OF MISSION STATEMENT
We advocate to improve the quality of life for Long Beach's culturally diverse older
population by expanding knowledge and services related to education, health,
housing, public transportation, safety, technology and language access.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The Long Beach Senior Citizens Advisory Commission is angry at the reprehensible
language used by LA City Council members that was exposed in the leak of a
meeting at the LA Federation of Labor. We urge the resignation of all involved.
Further, we wish to alert all Long Beach elected officials that we will react to any such
language used by them.
NEW BUSINESS
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Opportunity is given to those members of the public who would like to address the
Senior Citizen Advisory Commission on non-agenda items. Each speaker is limited to
three minutes. The Brown Act prohibits Commissioners from responding to comments
on non-agenda items.

NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Long Beach Senior Citizen Advisory Commission will be held
December 14, 2022 at 10 am at the Long Beach Senior Center, 1150 E. 4th Street
Room#202, Long Beach.
