O-222-15 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A FORGIVABLE LOAN, PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 54, SERIES 2009, TO COMMUNITY VENTURES CORPORATION, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, AND MARKETING OF TWENTY-SEVEN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE RUSSELL NEIGHBORHOOD URBAN RENEWAL AREA (AS AMENDED). (Action Required By: February 2016) Sponsors:David Tandy (D-4) Attachments: CVC Forgivable Loan Ordinance 090315 O-222-15 and O-223-15 PPP A motion was made by Council Member Woolridge, seconded by Council Member Johnson, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval. A motion was made by Council Member Butler, seconded by Council Member James, that this Ordinance be amended by inserting clarifying language in the "Whereas" clauses and changing the word "grant" to "loan" in Section 1. The motion to amend carried by a voice vote. (Action Required By: February 2016) Sponsors:Cheri Bryant Hamilton (D-5) A motion was made by Council Member Woolridge, seconded by Council Member James, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval. O-252-15 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 103, SERIES 2015 AND ORDINANCE NO. 104, SERIES 2015 RELATING TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2015-16 OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGETS, RESPECTIVELY, BY TRANSFERRING $45,000 FROM DEVELOP LOUISVILLE CAPITAL FUND TO DEVELOP LOUISVILLE OPERATING FUND RELATED TO EXTERNAL AGENCY COMMUNITY VENTURE KITCHEN INCUBATION. (Action Required By: February 2016) Sponsors:Cheri Bryant Hamilton (D-5) A motion was made by Council Member James, seconded by Council Member Butler, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval. Joe Gliessner, New Direction Housing, spoke to the item. A motion was made by Council Member Butler, seconded by Council Member Ackerson to amend by inserting language to limit the amount of the loan "not to exceed $145,000".
