R-023-17 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A DONATION OF FURNITURE FROM HUMANA WITH AN ESTIMATED VALUE OF $282,000 TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FLEET AND FACILITIES MANAGEMENT. Sponsors:Primary Marianne Butler (D-15) Attachments: RES $282,000 Furniture Donation from Humana 2.11.17.pdf A motion was made by Committee Member Woolridge, seconded by Committee Member James, that this Resolution be recommended for approval. Nick Hunter, Department of Fleet and Facilities Management, spoke to the item. The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to the Consent Calendar. 2. R-024-17 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A GRANT AWARD OF $4,370 FROM THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS TO BE USED BY METRO ANIMAL SERVICES TO SUPPORT A COMMUNITY CAT SPAY/NEUTER INITIATIVE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE KENTUCKY HUMANE SOCIETY. Sponsors:Primary Cindi Fowler (D-14) A motion was made by Committee Member James, seconded by Committee Member Woolridge, that this Resolution be recommended for approval. Ozzie Gibson, Metro Animal Services, spoke to the item. The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to the Consent Calendar. O-065-17 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 101, SERIES 2016, RELATING TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2016-17 OPERATING BUDGET FOR LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT, BY TRANSFERRING ($5,000) $9,000 FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUND (DISTRICT 14) TO LOUISVILLE METRO COUNCIL GENERAL OPERATIONS (DISTRICT 14). (AS AMENDED) Sponsors:Primary Cindi Fowler (D-14) A motion was made by Committee Member Woolridge, seconded by Committee Member James, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval. Committee Member Fowler spoke to the item. A motion was made by Committee Member Fowler, seconded by Vice Chair Kramer, that this Ordinance be amended by increasing the amount transferred to $9,000. The motion to amend carried by a voice vote. The motion to recommend for approval carried by the following vote and the amended Ordinance was sent to Old Business: Yes: 8- Butler, Kramer, Woolridge, Hamilton, James, Blackwell, Fowler, and Reed Excused: 2- Parker, and Johnson Absent: 2- Leet, and Hollander 4. O-319-16 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 102, SERIES 2016 AS PERTAINING TO THE 2016-2017 CAPITAL BUDGET FOR A NEW PROJECT TITLED 18TH AND BROADWAY WALMART PROJECT. Chair Person Butler stated this item died in Committee.
