DISTRICT 21 FOLLOWING THE VACANCY OF THIS SEAT.
R-186-17 A RESOLUTION OVERTURNING THE DECISION OF THE LANDMARKS
COMMISSION DESIGNATING THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 609
BLANKENBAKER LANE IN LOUISVILLE METRO AS A LOCAL LANDMARK (CASE
NO. 17DESGNATION1000).
New Business:
O-431-17 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 114, SERIES 2017,
RELATING TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2017-18 OPERATING BUDGET FOR
LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT,
BY TRANSFERRING $25,000 FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT FUND
(DISTRICT 21) TO LOUISVILLE METRO COUNCIL GENERAL OPERATIONS
(DISTRICT 21).

O-428-16 AN ORDINANCE CREATING A NEW SUBCHAPTER OF THE
LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT CODE OF
ORDINANCES RELATING TO THE PROTECTION OF PUBLIC TREES, TREE
CANOPY AND ENVIRONMENTAL INFRASTRUCTURE (AMENDED BY
SUBSTITUTION)

Special Discussion
President Yates provided the following announcements and updates:
- FEAT-Families of Effective Autism Treatment - Metro Council achieved the
goal of becoming "Autism Friendly" status
- Thanks to Councilwoman Shanklin, Jared Smelser-Dearing, Tony Hyatt,
Anthony Johnson (Security Guard), and the Clerk's Office for the Christmas
decorations
- Jared Smelser-Dearing, Legislative Assistant for District 2, leaving
- District 21 Interviews will be conducted at a special Committee of the Whole
on Monday, December 11th at 4:00 PM in the Council Chambers
Council Member Engel asked the Jefferson County Attorney's Office regarding
the Change of Zoning process. Paul Whitty, Jefferson County Attorney's Office
responded.
