ID 20-0182 Metro Council Agenda for February 6, 2020 Attachments: 2-6-20 FINAL Metro Council Agenda.pdf Council President James did a brief overview of the Metro Council Meeting Agenda. Council Member Fowler briefly discussed item 20, R-177-19, regarding the amendment to the Rules to allow for Financial Impact Statements to be conducted in reference to resolutions. Council Member Peden mentioned that the Zoo would be talking about the fires in Austraila and the endangered species there. Council Member Flood mentioned that she would be introducing Boy Scout Troop 61 who are in attendance to get their Citizen badge. Council Member Fowler discussed item 30, R-005-20, and stated that she had would be proposing an Amendment by Substitution to include three additional contracts for consideration. The Clerk and Jason Fowler, Jefferson County Attorney's Office, briefly explained the process for the Amendment by Substitution and how the contracts could be considered together or individually. Council Member Yates briefly discussed item 32, R-174-19, in regards to the local incentives for RXCrossroads, and there was some discussion as to why it was on Old Business. Announcements Council President James recognized the birthdays of Council Member Parker and Hollie Hopkings, Jefferson County Attorney's Office. Council President James spoke about the roof being completed and reminded Council Members of the following upcoming events: -March 4, CPR and AED training. -Feb. 22, Black Achiever's Dinner and there were three spots avialable. -Next Wednesday, Feb. 11, GLI Day with evening ceremonies starting at 4:30 p.m. Louisville Metro Government Page 2 Committee of the Whole Action Summary - Final February 6, 2020 Closed Session Council President James announced that the meeting would proceed in closed session pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(c) to discuss pending litigation. ID 20-0160 Update on On-Going Litigation by Jefferson County Attorney's Office and Office of Management and Budget Upon the return to open session, Council President James announced that no vote or final action was taken during the closed session.
