Landmarks_Min_12.01.17 Approval of the Minutes from the December 1, 2017 Historic Landmarks and Preservation Districts Commission meeting. A motion was made by Commissioner Coan, seconded by Commissioner Stottman, that the Minutes from the December 1, 2017 Historic Landmarks & Preservation Districts Commission meeting be APPROVED. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: Commissioners Kirchdorfer, Liu, Haskins, Stottman, Coan, Omidy, Fuller, and Chair Vice Abstain: Commissioner Weeter Absent: Commissioners Doutrick, Jackson, Jones, and Hartman Closed Session Louisville Metro Government Page 1 Historic Landmark & Preservation Action Summary January 18, 2018 Dist. Commission 2. Closed Session_01.18.18 Request: Closed session pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(c) to discuss threatened litigation against the Commission over the landmarking of the Congregation Anshei Sfard property on Dutchmans Lane followed by limited comments from the petitioner and the property owner. This is NOT a public hearing on the landmarking case. Project Name: LMC Closed Session Jurisdiction: Louisville Metro Government Council District: District 26 Case Manager: John Carroll, Assistant Jefferson County Attorney A motion was made by Commissioner Weeter, seconded by Commissioner Coan, that the Historic Landmarks & Preservation Districts Commission APPROVE a CLOSED SESSION pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(c) to discuss threatened litigation against the Commission over the landmarking of the Congregation Anshei Sfard property on Dutchmans Lane followed by limited comments from the petitioner and the property owner. This is NOT a public hearing on the landmarking case. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: Commissioners Kirchdorfer, Liu, Haskins, Weeter, Stottman, Coan, Omidy, Fuller, and Chair Vice Absent: Commissioners Doutrick, Jackson, Jones, and Hartman Chair Vice called the meeting back into OPEN SESSION. Chair Vice stated no action was taken during the CLOSED SESSION. NOTE: Commissioners Jackson, Jones, and Hartman arrived during CLOSED SESSION. The Commission heard brief comments from the property owner and the petitioner. A motion was made by Commissioner Hartman, seconded by Commissioner Weeter, that this matter be CONTINUED to the February 15, 2018 Historic Landmarks & Preservation Districts Commission meeting, for the purpose of making the decision to hear the case or to not hear it. The motion included Chair Vice's statement that if the case is heard, the hearing will be held at the March 15, 2018 meeting. The Commissioners discussed the motion.
