Landmarks_Min_01.18.18 Approval of the Minutes from the January 18, 2018 Historic Landmarks and Preservation Districts Commission meeting. A motion was made by Commissioner Coan, seconded by Commissioner Hartman, that the Minutes from the January 18, 2018 Louisville Metro Historic Landmarks & Preservation Districts Commission be APPROVED. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: Commissioners Omidy, Coan, Hartman, Kirchdorfer, Stottman, Liu, Haskins, Weeter and Chair Vice Absent: Commissioners Doutrick, Fuller, Jones, and Jackson NOTE: Commissioners Jones and Jackson arrived after Approval of Minutes. Commission 2. 17DESGNATION1002 Request: Continued from the January 18, 2018 Historic Landmarks & Preservation Districts Commission meeting. Consideration of a Petition to Landmark a portion of the Congregation Anshei Sfard property, with a possible Closed Session pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(c) to discuss threatened litigation against the Commission over the landmarking in this case. This is NOT a public hearing on the landmarking case. Case Manager: John Carroll, Assistant County Attorney A motion was made by Commissioner Weeter, seconded by Commissioner Coan, that the Louisville Metro Historic Landmarks & Preservation Districts Commission APPROVE a CLOSED SESSION pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(c) to discuss threatened litigation against the Commission over the landmarking of a portion of the Congregation Anshei Sfard property (Case Number 17DESGNATION1002). This is NOT a public hearing on the landmarking case. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: Commissioners Omidy, Coan, Jones, Hartman, Kirchdorfer, Stottman, Liu, Haskins, Weeter, and Chair Vice Absent: Commissioners Doutrick, Jackson, and Fuller NOTE: Commissioner Jackson arrived during CLOSED SESSION. A motion was made by Commissioner Kirchdorfer, seconded by Commissioner Coan, to return to OPEN SESSION. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. Chair Vice called the meeting back into OPEN SESSION. Chair Vice stated no action was taken during CLOSED SESSION. Commissioners and staff discussed possible dates for scheduling this case for Public Hearing. A motion was made by Commissioner Hartman, seconded by Commissioner Coan, that the March 15, 2018 regular meeting of the Louisville Metro Historic Landmarks & Preservation Districts Commission be CHANGED to March 22, 2018, and that Case Number 17DESGNATION1002 be SCHEDULED for Public Hearing on March 22, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the Old Jail Auditorium.
