AS AN "AGENCY", ADOPTING A DEVELOPMENT PLAN, APPROVING ENTERING INTO A LOCAL PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF THE "RELEASED AMOUNT" PURSUANT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE LOCAL PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT, REQUIRING THE SUBMISSION OF REGULAR REPORTS TO LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS AND THE TAKING OF ANY OTHER ACTIONS NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THE PURPOSES AUTHORIZED BY THIS ORDINANCE (AS AMENDED). O-320-19 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 39 OF THE LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO CODE OF ORDINANCES BY CREATING A NEW SECTION REGARDING MANDATORY REPORTING OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TO METRO COUNCIL (AS AMENDED). A motion was made by Committee Member Ackerson, seconded by Vice Chair Piagentini, that this ordinance be tabled. The motion to table passed by a voice vote. A motion was made by Committee Member George, seconded by Committee Member Winkler, that this ordinance be untabled. The motion to untable passed by a voice vote. A motion was made by Vice Chair Piagentini, seconded by Committee Member Dorsey, that this ordinance be amended to add a "Whereas" statement as follows: Louisville Metro Government Page 3 Labor and Economic Development Action Summary - Final October 29, 2019 Committee "Whereas, it is important to consolidate economic development information in a standardized way;" Sean Dennis, Jefferson County Attorney's Office, spoke to the item. The motion to amend passed by a voice vote. The motion that this Ordinance be recommended for approval carried by the following vote and the Ordinance was sent to Old Business: Yes: 5- Piagentini, Dorsey, George, Engel, and Ackerson No: 1- Winkler Excused: 1- Yates 4. R-142-19 A RESOLUTION PURSUANT TO THE CAPITAL AND OPERATING BUDGET ORDINANCES, APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION TO FUND THE FOLLOWING NONCOMPETITIVELY NEGOTIATED PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT FOR THE LOUISVILLE ZOO CONCERNING A MENTOR/INTERNSHIP PROGRAM FOR THE ZOO’S BOMA (AFRICAN PETTING ZOO) AND AUSTRALIAN WALKABOUT EXHIBITS TO INTERPRET ANIMAL HISTORY, HABITAT PRESERVATION AND AFRICAN CULTURE FOR THE PUBLIC - (KENTUCKY COMMUNITY AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE SYSTEM/UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY COMMUNITY COLLEGE SYSTEM FOR JEFFERSON COMMUNITY COLLEGE - $100,000.00).
