The Clerk read the Certificates of Election for Districts 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, and 25. The Ceremonial Oath of Office was performed by the Honorable Judge Derwin Webb. Louisville Metro Government Page 1 Metro Council Action Summary - Final January 7, 2019 Transition of the Presiding Officer to President Pro-Tem President James relinquished the Chair over to President Pro-Tem Mulvihill at 4:37 PM to oversee the election of the 2019 Metro Council President. Election of Metro Council President - 2019 President Pro-Tem Mulvihill opened the floor for nominations. Council Member Yates nominated Council Member James. Hearing no further nominations, President Pro-Tem Mulvihill closed the nominations. Council Member James received 26 votes to become the 2019 Metro Council President. President James resumed the Chair at 4:42 PM. Comments by the newly elected Council President No comments were made. A prayer was offered by Rabbi Gaylia R. Rooks. Election and Swearing in of Metro Council Clerk - 2019 Council Member Green nominated H. Stephen Ott as the Clerk for the 2019 Metro Council. By a Voice Vote, H.
