Statement Regarding Virtual Attendance by Council Members The Clerk read the statement regarding the meeting being conducted by video teleconference, pursuant to KRS 61.826 and in accordance with Senate Bill 150, and the provisions regarding any disruptions in remote access for Council Members, which would require a temporary suspension of the meeting. He stated that the COVID-19 Dashboard has been updated to show demographics for COVID-19 patients and vaccinations, and includes a tab that provides information to get assistance during this difficult time. Council President James commemorated the life of Wendell Ray Jones who died of COVID-19 on April 3, 2020. He asked that everyone join him in a moment of silence. Council President James recognized Council Member George for being named the Social Worker of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers from Kentucky and the Kentucky Social Worker Professional Organization. Special Recognitions and Proclamations 1. ID 21-0095 Council Member Blackwell recognized Edward Lee Smith, PRP High School student, who has been named as one of the "Top 20 Storytellers Under 20" by PBS News Hour. 2.
