O-452-17 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 42.40, 42.41, AND 42.42 OF THE LOUISVILLE METRO CODE OF ORDINANCES (“LMCO”) REGARDING THE REVISION OF GREENS FEES AND GOLF CART AND TRAIL FEES AND CREATING A NEW SECTION OF CHAPTER 42 TO ADDRESS THE MANAGEMENT OF METRO-OWNED GOLF COURSES. (AS AMENDED). Sponsors:Primary Cindi Fowler (D-14) and Primary Marianne Butler (D-15) Attachments: O-452-17 V.1 121417 Golf Course Fee Increases.pdf O-452-17 PROPOSED CAM 020818.pdf A motion was made by Committee Member Peden, seconded by Committee Member Welch, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval. Council Member Butler and the following from Metro Parks and Recreation spoke to the item: Dana Kasler, Paul Schuchard and Tommy Betz. A motion was made by Committee Member Peden, seconded by Committee Member Stuckel, that this Ordinance be amended by adding a new Section IV, 42.43 Management of Metro-Owned Golf Courses (see attachment labeled "O-452-17 PROPOSED CAM 020818"). The motion to amend carried by a voice vote. The motion to recommend for approval carried by the following vote and the amended Ordinance was sent to Old Business: Yes: 5- Fowler, Coan, Welch, Stuckel, and Peden 2. R-007-18 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A PET SMART CHARITIES GRANT AWARD TOTALING $40,000 SUPPORTING SPAY AND NEUTER INITIATIVES TO BE UTILIZED BY METRO ANIMAL SERVICES. Sponsors:Primary Cindi Fowler (D-14) Attachments: R-007-18 V.1 011118 Accept Pet Smart Charities Grant Award of $40K for Spay & Neuter Initiatives.pdf A motion was made by Committee Member Peden, seconded by Committee Member Welch, that this Resolution be recommended for approval. Skip Kalkhof, Metro Animal Services, spoke to the item. The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to the Consent Calendar. R-015-18 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $30,300 OF FUNDING FROM THE METROPOLITAN SEWER DISTRICT FOR A GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT AT VICTORY PARK TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE METRO PARKS DEPARTMENT.
