Chair Person Fowler called the meeting to order at 3:03 PM.
Roll Call
Chair Person Fowler introduced the committee members and non-committee
members present. A quorum was established.

DEPARTMENT.

$300,000 FROM THE NATIONAL RECREATION AND PARKS ASSOCIATION FOR THE
WEST LOUISVILLE OUTDOOR RECREATION INITIATIVE TO BE ADMINISTERED BY
THE METRO PARKS DEPARTMENT.

OFFICE OF RESILIENCE AND COMMUNITY SERVICES EXTERNAL AGENCY FULLER
CENTER APPROPRIATION TO PARKS AND RECREATION COUNCIL DISTRICT 5
PARK ACTIVITIES TO BE ADMINISTERED BY LOUISVILLE METRO PARKS AND
RECREATION.

A motion was made by Committee Member Peden, seconded by Vice Chair
Coan, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval.
Due to no one being present to speak; a motion was made by Committee
Member Peden, seconded by Committee Member Stuckel, that this Ordinance
be tabled. The motion to table carried without objection.
A motion was made by Committee Member Peden, seconded by Committee
Member Stuckel, that this Ordinance be untabled to allow Council Member
Hamilton to speak. The motion to untable carried without objection.
Council Member Hamilton spoke to the item.
The motion to recommend for approval carried by the following vote and the
Ordinance was sent to the Consent Calendar:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42 OF THE LOUISVILLE METRO CODE OF
ORDINANCES (“LMCO”) BY CREATING A NEW SECTION REQUIRING METRO
COUNCIL APPROVAL TO CLOSE, REPURPOSE, OR SELL A METRO-OWNED GOLF
COURSE (AS AMENDED).

A motion was made by Committee Member Peden, seconded by Committee
Member Stuckel, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval.
Council Member Butler and Sarah Martin, Jefferson County Attorney's Office,
spoke to the item.
A motion was made by Committee Member Stuckel and seconded by
Committee Member Peden, that this Ordinance be amended to change the
language in Section C to reflect a majority vote, rather than a two-thirds
majority vote.
The motion to amend carried by a voice vote.
The motion to recommend for approval carried by the following vote and the
amended Ordinance was sent to Old Business:
Yes: 4- Fowler, Coan, Stuckel, and Peden
Excused: 1- Welch

Without objection, Chair Person Fowler adjourned the meeting at 3:32 PM.
