Chair Person Fowler called the meeting to order at 3:02 PM.
Roll Call
Chair Person Fowler introduced the committee members present. A quorum
was established.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A SETTLEMENT OF
$100,000 FROM GE APPLIANCES FOR RECREATIONAL IMPROVEMENTS AT
PETERSBURG PARK TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE METRO PARKS DEPARTMENT.

A motion was made by Committee Member Peden, seconded by Committee
Member Triplett, that this Resolution be recommended for approval.
Jason Canuel, Metro Parks, spoke to the item.
The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to the Consent
Calendar.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42 OF THE LOUISVILLE METRO CODE OF
ORDINANCES (“LMCO”) BY CREATING A NEW SECTION REGARDING MAJOR
CHANGES TO ANY METRO-OWNED PARK AND REMOVING REGULATION OF
METRO-OWNED PARKS FROM THE SUBSECTION ON GOLF COURSES (AS
AMENDED).

A motion was made by Committee Member Peden, seconded by Committee
Member Fox, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval.
Chair Person Fowler and Committee Member Peden spoke to the item.
A motion was made by Vice Chair Mulvihill, seconded by Committee Member
Peden, that this Ordinance be amended by inserting "for a period of one year
or more" to the end of the first sentence in to the definition of "Permanently
Close" on page 2.
Jason Canuel, Metro Parks, and Sarah Martin, Jefferson County Attorney's
Office, spoke to the amendment.
The motion to amend carried by a voice vote.
The motion to recommend for approval carried by the following vote and the
amended Ordinance was sent to Old Business:
