Roll Call Chair Person Fowler introduced the committee members present. A quorum was established. R-053-19 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A BANFIELD FOUNDATION GRANT AWARD TOTALING $11,000 SUPPORTING THE PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL METRO ANIMAL SERVICES MEDICAL EQUIPMENT. Sponsors:Primary Cindi Fowler (D-14) Attachments: R-053-19 V.1 050919 Banfield Grant Award $11k Metro Animal Services.pdf A motion was made by Committee Member Fox, seconded by Committee Member Peden, that this Resolution be recommended for approval. Ashley Book, Metro Animal Services, spoke to the item. The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to the Consent Calendar. Committee Member Peden took a point of personal privilege to explain his t-shirt which was for the Annual Boat Regatta at J-town High School and encouraged everyone to watch the news coverage of the event and consider attending next year. Adjournment Without objection, Chair Person Fowler adjourned the meeting at 3:15 PM. *NOTE: Items sent to the Consent Calendar or Old Business will be heard before the full Council at the Metro Council Meeting on May 23, 2019.
