Call to Order
Chair Person Fowler called the meeting to order at 3:04 p.m.
Roll Call
Chair Person Fowler introduced the committee members and non-committee
members present. A quorum was established.

COUNTY METRO CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ENHANCE THE LONG-TERM
ECONOMIC VIABILITY OF LOUISVILLE METRO GOLF COURSES (AMENDMENT BY
SUBSTITUTION) (AS AMENDED).

A motion was made by Committee Member Peden, seconded by Committee
Member Triplett, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval.
Chair Person Fowler spoke to the item and read into the record a proposed
amendment by substitution (see attached).
A motion was made by Committee Member Fox, seconded by Committee
Member George, that this Ordinance be amended by substitution with the
attached document titled, "O-321-19 PROPOSED CABS 100319 Golf Course Fees
v2 sd 100219.pdf" as read into the record. The motion to amend by substitution
passed by a voice vote.
The following spoke to the item, requested to be added as co-sponsors, and
were added as co-sponsors upon the approval of the primary sponsor:

- Committee Member Parker
- Council Member Dorsey
- Council Member Sexton Smith
Council Member Kramer reported that Council Member Piagentini has
requested to be added as a co-sponsor and added as a co-sponsor upon the
approval of the primary sponsor.
Sean Dennis, Jefferson County Attorney’s Office spoke to the item.
A motion was made by Committee Member Peden, seconded by Committee
Member Fox, that the amended Ordinance be amended at Section 42.41(C) to
strike through “commensurate with” and insert “any dynamic pricing
adjustments shall be applied to cart fees by an equivalent percentage”. The
motion to amend carried by voice vote.

A motion was made by Committee Chair Fowler, seconded by Committee
Member George, that the amended Ordinance be amended at Section 42.43(I),
by inserting "and maintain” after “manage” so it will read “if for any period of
time a golf course lacks private management then Metro Parks shall manage
and maintain the course until a suitable management contract is in place.”
The motion to amend carried by voice vote.
Mr. Dennis pointed out a scrivener’s error at the rates for the Cherokee and
Bobby Nichols courses to show that Junior and Senior Twilight rates should be
$12.50.
A motion was made by Committee Member Fox, seconded by Committee
Member Peden, to call the question. The motion carried without objection.
The motion to recommend for approval carried by the following vote and the
amended Ordinance was sent to Old Business:

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTIONS 42.40 THROUGH 42.42 AND AMENDING
