Chair Person Fowler called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m.

Mulvihill, that this Resolution be recommended for approval.

A motion was made by Committee Member Fox, seconded by Committee
Member Triplett, that this Resolution be amended by substitution with the
attached document labeled 'R-005-20 PROPOSED CABS 020420 Approving Golf
Contracts (Amendment by Substitution).pdf'. The motion to amend by
substitution carried by a voice vote.

Topics of discussion included:
- the language of the amendment by substitution
- lack of current contracts for the nine hole golf courses
- whether signed contracts were necessary for consideration
- the contract for First Tee
- for the committee to consider each contract individually for approval
- the interviews with the candidates for contract
- the procurement process
- management of nine hole golf courses
A motion was made by Chair Person Fowler, seconded by Committee Member
Coan, that each contract be considered individually. The motion to consider
each contract individually carried by a voice vote.
Topics of continued discussion included:
- concerns about the disqualification of long serving golf pros at Metro courses
- concerns about interview committee recommendations
- concerns about Sun Valley Golf Course procurement process
- concerns about treatment of candidiates and maintenance workers
- maintenance needs for Sun Valley Golf Course
- availability of golf to everyone in the community
- differences between deferred maintenance and frequent golf course
maintenance
- innovations to help grow the game of golf in the community
- details about the terms of the contracts
A motion was made by Committee Member Fox, seconded by Committee
Member Triplett, that this amended Resolution be tabled. The motion to table
carried without objection.
