A quorum was established. Rollcall Council Member Kevin Kramer arrived @ 3:43 p.m. Present: 4- Chair Person James Peden (R-23), Council Member David James (D-6), Council Member Kevin Kramer (R-11), and Council Member Madonna Flood (D-24) Excused: 1- Vice Chair David Yates (D-25) Pending Legislation 1. R-065-14 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A FEDERAL PASS-THROUGH GRANT OF $20,000 FROM THE KENTUCKY OFFICE OF HOMELAND SECURITY TO BE USED BY THE LOUISVILLE METRO POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM. (Action Required by August 2014) Sponsors: James Peden (R-23) A motion was made by Council Member James, seconded by Council Member Flood, that this Resolution be recommended for approval to the Metro Council. O-061-14 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO COMPLIANCE WITH AND THE ENFORCEMENT OF LOUISVILLE METRO CODE OF ORDINANCES CHAPTER 94 AND THE INSTALLATION OF SMOKE DETECTORS (As Amended). (Action Required By:June 2014) Sponsors: James Peden (R-23) A motion was made by Council Member Madonna Flood, seconded by Council Member David James, that this Ordinance be untabled. Kendall Boyd with the Jefferson County Attorney's Office, Robert Kirchdorfer, Assistant Director, Inspections Permits and License (IPL) and Colonel Bowman, Louisville Metro Fire Department, spoke to the item. A motion was made by Council Member James Peden, seconded by Council Member Kevin Kramer that this Ordinance be tabled. By voice vote, this item was Tabled. Adjournment A motion was made by Council Member James Peden, seconded by Council Member Kevin Kramer to Adjourn. Without objection, the meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m. *NOTE: Items sent to the Consent Calendar or Old Business will be heard before the full Council at the Metro Council Meeting on March 13, 2014.
