A quorum was established. Miller (19), Council Member Marilyn Parker (R-19), Council Member Stuart Benson (R-20), and Council Member Mary C. Woolridge (D-3) Clerk: H. Stephen Ott, CKMC and Kay Grissett, CKMC Special Discussion 1. ID 14-865 EMS SERVICE IN THE SUBURBAN FIRE AREAS Jeff Riddle, Chief of the Middletown Fire Protection District and President of the Jefferson County Chief's Association; Diane Bagby, Deputy Director, Emergency Management Agency (EMA), MetroSafe and Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Instructor; Doctor Neal Richmond, Medical Director, Emergency Medical Services (EMS); and Kevin Tyler, Chief of the Harrods Creek Fire Protection District and Vice President of the Jefferson County Chief's Association, were present to speak and answer questions regarding EMS service in the Suburban fire areas. R-121-14 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $89,595 FROM FEMA and $29,865 FROM A PRIVATE DONOR TO BE USED BY THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY FOR THE ACQUISITION AND DEMOLITION OF 6209 CATHEEN WAY. (Action Required By: November 2014) Sponsors: David Yates (D-25) A motion was made by Council Member Flood, seconded by Vice Chair Yates, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval by the Metro Council. By a voice vote, the motion carried and the Resolution was sent to the Consent Calendar. 3. R-122-14 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $149,000 FROM THE KENTUCKY OFFICE OF HOMELAND SECURITY TO BE USED BY THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF SIX ALERT SIRENS. (Action Required By: November 2014) Sponsors: David Yates (D-25) A motion was made by Council Member Flood, seconded by Vice Chair Yates, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval by the Metro Council. By a voice vote, the motion carried and the Resolution was sent to the Consent Calendar. Adjournment A motion to adjourn was made by Vice Chair Yates.
