Chair Person James called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m.
Roll Call
Chair Person James introduced the members and non-members present. A
quorum was established.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 124 OF THE LOUISVILLE METRO CODE OF
ORDINANCES REGARDING ARMED SECURITY OFFICER TO INCLUDE A
REQUIREMENT FOR APPLICANTS TO HAVE A VALID LICENSE TO CARRY A
CONCEALED DEADLY WEAPON AND REMOVE THE REQUIREMENT TO OBTAIN
CERTIFICATION FROM THE CIRCUIT COURT CLERK OF NO MENTAL INQUEST.
Sponsors:Primary David James (D-6), Primary Madonna Flood (D-24) and Additional Kelly
Downard (R-16)
A motion was made by Committee Member Peden, seconded by Committee
Member Green, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval.
Robert Kirchdorfer, Codes and Regulations, and Sarah Martin, Jefferson
County Attorney's Office, spoke to the item.
Chair Person James stated Council Member Downard would like to be added
as a co-sponsor.
The motion carried by the following vote and the Ordinance was sent to the
Consent Calendar:
