With the attendance of President Yates, a quorum was established. Present: 3- Committee Member Jessica Green (D-1), Chair Person David James (D-6), and David Yates (D-25) Excused: 3- Vice Chair Julie Denton (R-19), Committee Member James Peden (R-23), and Committee Member Madonna Flood (D-24) Non-Committee Members Council Member Cheri Bryant Hamilton (D-5), Council Member Angela Leet (R-7) Council Member Bill Hollander (D-9), Council Member Kevin Kramer (R-11), Council Member Rick Blackwell (D-12), Council Member Kelly Downard (R-16), Council Member Marilyn Parker (R-18) and Council Member Brent Ackerson (D-26). A video conference took place with the following representatives: * Sergeant Jake Becchina, Administrator of ShotSpotter for the Kansas City Police Department * Lt. Greg Reinhardt, Administrator of ShotSpotter for the Minneapolis Police Department Pending Legislation 2. R-63-16 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A GRANT OF $18,004 FROM THE FIREHOUSE SUBS PUBLIC SAFETY FOUNDATION (“FSPSF”) TO BE ADMINISTERED BY EMERGENCY SERVICES’ EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES. Sponsors:Primary David Yates (D-25) A motion was made by Committee Member Green, seconded by Chair Person James, that this Resolution be recommended for approval. Diane Vogel, Emergency Services, spoke to the item. The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to the Consent Calendar. Adjournment Without objection, Chair Person James adjourned the meeting at 5:43 p.m. *NOTE: Items sent to the Consent Calendar or Old Business will be heard before the full Council at the Metro Council Meeting on June 23, 2016.
