Call to Order
Chair Person James called the meeting to order at 3:32 p.m. and announced
the committee's scheduled day and time would be on Wednesday of each
Committee Week at 3:30 p.m.
Roll Call
Chair Person James introduced the committee members present. A quorum
was established.
Committee Member Peden and Committee Member Denton arrived at 3:34 p.m.

APPROVAL, TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE KENTUCKY OFFICE OF
HOMELAND SECURITY (KOHS), TO EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS WHICH ARE
DEEMED NECESSARY BY KOHS TO FACILITATE AND ADMINISTER THE PROJECT
AND TO ACT AS THE AUTHORIZED CORRESPONDENT FOR THIS PROJECT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $18,000.

A motion was made by Committee Member Green, seconded by Committee
Member Sexton Smith, that this Resolution be recommended for approval.
Assistant Chief Robert Schroeder and Lieutenant Mike O'Neil, Louisville Metro
Police Department, spoke to the item.
The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to the Consent
Calendar.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $51,728.00 FROM THE
FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY HAZARD MITIGATION GRANT
PROGRAM AND $8,966.00 FROM THE JEFFERSON COUNTY FISCAL COURT TO BE
USED BY THE EMERGENCY SERVICES’ EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY FOR
THE LOUISVILLE METRO HAZARD MITIGATION 5 YEAR PLAN UPDATE.

A motion was made by Vice Chair Peden, seconded by Committee Member
Green, that this Resolution be recommended for approval.
Jody Meiman, Emergency Management Services, spoke to the item.
NOTE: A technical correction was made to correct every occurrence of
'Carlisle County' to 'Jefferson County' within the title and body of the
Resolution.
The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to the Consent
Calendar.
