Chair Person James called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m.

Chair Person James introduced the committee members and non-committee
members present. A quorum was established.
Committee Member Peden arrived at 3:25 p.m.

Public Safety Committee Action Summary - Final March 1, 2017
A motion was made by Committee Member Leet, seconded by Committee
Member Sexton Smith, that a Special Public Safety Committee be scheduled to
allow Council Members additional time to ask questions regarding the
discussion items. The motion carried by a voice vote.
Chair Person James stated he will consult with Council Members, Chief Steve
Conrad, and Yvette Gentry to determine a date and time for the special
committee meeting before the regularly scheduled meeting on March 15, 2017.

KENTUCKY OFFICE OF HOMELAND SECURITY (KOHS) FOR A PROJECT TO OBTAIN
PROTECTIVE SAFETY VESTS, TO EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS WHICH ARE DEEMED
NECESSARY BY KOHS TO FACILITATE AND ADMINISTER THE PROJECT AND TO ACT
AS THE AUTHORIZED CORRESPONDENT FOR THE PROJECT.
