Chair Person James called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING LOUISVILLE METRO CODE OF ORDINANCES (LMCO)
SECTIONS 156.005 AND 156.057 RELATING TO CRIMINAL ACTIVITY AS A PUBLIC
NUISANCE (AS AMENDED).

A motion was made by Vice Chair Peden, seconded by Committee Member
Green, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval.
Council Member Hamilton spoke to the item. Lonita Baker, Jefferson County
Attorney's Office, spoke to the item and explained amendments that would be
proposed.
A motion was made by Vice Chair Peden, seconded by Committee Member
Green, that this Ordinance be amended by:
- Adding "and/or human trafficking" after "prostitution" in proposed MCO §
156.057(A)(2)(a) on Page 2.
- Replacing "third" with "fifth" on Line 5 of proposed MCO § 156.057(C)(3)(a)
on Page 5.
- Adding "licensed" before "boarding and lodging houses" on Line 5 of
proposed MCO § 156.057(C)(3)(b)(i) on Page 6.
- Renaming the heading of Column One to "1-4", Column Two to "5", Column
Three to "6", Column Four to "7", and Column 5 to "8" in the second box of
Appendix A
- Adding "and Order to Vacate" after "$2000" under Column Five in the second
box of Appendix A
- Deleting Column 6 in the second box of Appendix A
The motion to amend carried by a voice vote.
Amanda Lunte, Louisville Metro Police Department, spoke to the item.
A motion was made by Committee Member Leet, seconded by Committee
Member Green, that this amended Ordinance be tabled. The motion to table
carried by a voice vote.

A RESOLUTION PURSUANT TO THE CAPITAL AND OPERATING BUDGET
ORDINANCES, URGING THE PRUDENT USE OF BUDGET SURPLUS FUNDS TO HIRE
SWORN PEACE OFFICERS AND IMPROVE PUBLIC SAFETY THROUGHOUT
LOUISVILLE METRO.
