Council Member Coan spoke to the item and distributed a handout (see attached) for a proposed amendment by substitution. Sarah Martin, Jefferson County Attorney's Office, and Lt. Col. Shara Parks, Louisville Metro Police Department, also spoke to the item. A motion was made by Committee Member Flood, seconded by Committee Member Sexton Smith, that this Ordinance be amended by substitution with the handout distributed by Council Member Coan. The motion to amend by substitution carried by the following vote: Yes: 6- James, Peden, Green, Sexton Smith, Leet, and Flood No: 1- Denton The motion to recommend for approval carried by the following vote and the amended Ordinance was sent to Old Business: Yes: 4- James, Green, Sexton Smith, and Flood No: 3- Peden, Leet, and Denton Adjournment Without objection, Chair Person James adjourned the meeting at 4:32 p.m. *NOTE: Items sent to the Consent Calendar or Old Business will be heard before the full Council at the Metro Council Meeting on October 26, 2017.
