Call to Order
Chair Person James called the meeting to order at 2:34 p.m.
Roll Call
Chair Person James introduced the committee members and non-committee
members present. A quorum was established.
Vice Chair Peden arrived at 2:36 p.m. and left at 4:19 p.m., Committee Member
Flood arrived at 2:36 p.m. and left at 4:15 p.m., and Committee Member
Denton arrived at 2:40 p.m. and left at 4:29 p.m.

HOMELESS (AMENDMENT BY SUBSTITUTION) (AS AMENDED).

A motion was made by Committee Member Green, seconded by Committee
Member Sexton Smith, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval.
Council Member Hollander spoke to the item.
A motion was made by Committee Member Leet, seconded by Committee
Member Sexton Smith, that this Ordinance be amended by substitution (see
attached document titled 'O-441-17 PROPOSED CABS 120617 Protection for the
Homeless'). The motion to amend by substitution carried by a voice vote.

A motion was made by Committee Member Leet, seconded by Vice Chair
Peden, that this amended Ordinance be amended by adding the following at
the end of the 'PERSONAL ITEMS' definition:
"...to include, but not limited to, identification documents, birth certificates,
and other personal documents and effects."
The motion to amend carried by a voice vote.
A motion was made by Committee Member Denton, seconded by Vice Chair
Peden, that this amended Ordinance be tabled. The motion to table carried by
a voice vote.

Without objection, Chair Person James adjourned the meeting at 4:31 p.m.
