A quorum was established. Sponsors:Primary Brandon Coan (D-8) Attachments: O-397-18 V.1 102518 D12 Animal Abuse Registry.pdf A motion was made by Vice Chair Peden, seconded by Committee Member Sexton Smith, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval. The following spoke to the item: - Council Member Coan - Sean Dennis, Jefferson County Attorney's Office - Susan Jones, Jefferson County Attorney's Office - Ozzy Gibson, Metro Animal Sevices A motion was made by Committee Member Denton, seconded by Committee Member Sexton Smith, that this Ordinance be tabled. R-197-18 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A GRANT OF $24,999 FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FOR THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF CODES AND REGULATIONS. Sponsors:Primary Barbara Sexton Smith (D-4) Attachments: R-197-18 V.1 110818 Mayor Accept $24,999 Grant from USDOJ for Intellectual Property Enforcement Program.pdf A motion was made by Vice Chair Peden, seconded by Committee Member Denton, that this Resolution be recommended for approval. Committee Member Sexton Smith and T. Watkins, Metro Alcoholic Beverage Control, spoke to the item. The motion carried by a voice vote and the Resolution was sent to the Consent Calendar. Adjournment Without objection, Chair Person Green adjourned the meeting at 4:30 p.m. *NOTE: Items sent to the Consent Calendar or Old Business will be heard before the full Council at the Metro Council Meeting on November 29, 2018.
