Chair Person Green called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m.
Roll Call

members present. A quorum was established.

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 117 OF LOUISVILLE/ JEFFERSON COUNTY
METRO GOVERNMENT CODE OF ORDINANCES AND ENACTING A NEW SECTION
FOR PEDESTRIAN AND TRAFFIC SAFETY (AS AMENDED).

A motion was made by Committee Member Fox, seconded by Committee
Member Sexton Smith, that this Ordinance be recommended for approval.
The following spoke to the item:

- Sarah Martin, Jefferson County Attorney's Office
A motion was made by Vice Chair Peden, seconded by Committee Member
Piagentini, that this Ordinance be amended as follows:
- Insert "Gore means a triangle area located between lanes of a highway and
either an entrance or exit ramp." as a definition in § 71.01 between the
definitions of "Arterial roadway" and "Median or island"
- Insert "or gore" in LMCO 71.10(B) after the word "median"
- Strike through "or median" and insert ", median or gore" in LMCO 71.10(C)
- Strike through "2018" and insert "2019" in the second to last whereas
statement on Page 1
The motion to amend carried by a voice vote.
A motion was made by Committee Member Fox, seconded by Committee
Member Sexton Smith, that this amended Ordinance be tabled. The motion to
table carried by a voice vote.
