Consider approving the Minutes of the Board of Public Works Meeting of Wednesday, May 25, 2022. A motion was made by Clausius, seconded by Adams, to Approve the Minutes. The motion passed by voice vote/other. 3. 71807 Consider a Report of the City Engineer regarding the results of a review of water resources impacts and the necessity of permits for public works construction projects on this agenda and addendum to the agenda. The Board received the report. 4. At this time, a consent agenda will be moved with the recommended action listed for each item EXCEPT: 1) items which have registrants wishing to speak. 2) items which require an extraordinary (roll call) vote and are not included on the consent agenda by unanimous consent. 3) items which Board Members have separated out for discussion/debate purposes. MISCELLANEOUS 10.* 71737 Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute Amendment No. 4 to the existing Purchase of Services contract between the City of Madison and MSA Professional Services, Inc. for additional services for the Willow Creek Watershed Study. (5th, 10th and 11th AD) A motion was made by Adams, seconded by Clausius, to RECOMMEND TO COUNCIL TO ADOPT - REPORT OF OFFICER. (19th AD) Sponsors: Keith Furman The proposed resolution approves the use of Safe Routes Grants funding for installation of new sidewalk on Lake Mendota Drive at an estimated cost of $35,476.72. The Safe Routes Grants Program pays 50% of a property owner’s sidewalk assessment where new sidewalk is installed on eligible projects. Lead and only agency is Board of Public Works. Work shall take place within the well facilities, with some staging potentially on the well properties. The current general schedule is to begin work in September and be completed at both facilities in October. Estimated cost is $150,000. (11th AD) Sponsors: BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS Attachments: Rennebohm WestTennis Reconstruction-BPW_1.1 PROJ LOCATION_40 SCALE.pdf Demolition of the existing set of (3) tennis courts on the west side, which were originally built in 1976, will be by Parks Construction staff in late summer. The courts (both west and east side), have received 6+ rounds of crack fill and resurfacing, each round with diminishing returns. Rebuilding the courts will allow for a deeper base course and resistance to structural cracks, which are difficult to repair. Estimated construction cost: $275,000.
